'FANS and TANKS'

[IMAGE] BRET is pleased to offer the highest quality accessories for your balloon system. We carry in-stock inflator fan frames, fan blades, hubs, and 10 and 15 gallon fuel tanks. We do not manufacture completed fans, but will be happy to assist you in building your own, and help you locate quality components. If you desire or require a "special" fan, call us, and the staff at BRET can special order, or build to your specifications.

[IMAGE] Replace your old 2 bladed wooden prop and see an instant 30% or better gain in performance.

The finest three bladed hardwood props are available for your present inflator. These propellers are laminated of select woods and balanced. These props will match or exceed the output of any other blade in use today. The size and pitch of each propeller is designed for the horsepower of the engine you intend to use.

We stock both 24 and 30 inch propellers for use with most 5, 5.5, & 8 hp engines. Hubs are available for 3/4 and 1 inch engine shafts.

List price for these propellers and hubs are;

24 inch prop $195.00
hub $65.00

30 inch prop $230.00
hub $80.00

[IMAGE] The 5 hp size, Stainless Steel inflator fan frames are constructed with size, efficiency, and ease of operation in mind. The flip-up wheels allow the smallest profile for transport of any inflator on the market.

The unique design of the frame surrounds and protects the engine, so that even the smallest crew person can load it by themselves, by simply dragging it up the back of the trailer or tailgate. The flip wheels are self locking when in the operating position, to minimize fan creep.

List price for these frames, wheels included, are:

5 hp S.S. frames $499.00

8 hp S.S. frames $599.00.

[IMAGE] A single 24 inch fan, built of these components, has been in use with a 105 shape (appendage balloon) for the last two years. The Pepsi team uses this style frame and propellers exclusively with it's CAN shape balloons.

This combination truly is one of the best inflator fans available today. The major European manufacturers all offer fans utilizing this type of compact frame and some even offer a three bladed wooden propeller. BRET will sell you the components to build a fan that will outperform all the standard fans on the market without increasing your total cost.

The standard fan guards in use today seem to be the wire cage style, and while the enclosed housing may be a safer alternative, it is not really cost effective. BRET recommends that an enclosing shroud be used to contain broken propellers. The shroud can be plastic, fiberglass, or web style.
That said, we want to recommend that all fan guards are a consumable, and should be replaced as soon as the first weld breaks, or it shows any sign of failure. BRET does not sell or recommend any specific style guard, but warns that it is the last safety on the fan, take care of it!

[IMAGE] We, at BRET, believe that the old standard aluminum 10 gallon fuel tank is less than the "safest" one you can select for your system. It has been shown that aluminum tanks, in a fire, will not vent all the fuel before the aluminum fails. Steel Tanks Will! For that reason, we have been installing 10 gallon steel tanks and doing the FAA paperwork for all approvals. Yes, there is a weight penalty of about 15 lbs, but it's insignificant as compared to the penalty for having the wrong tank in a fire!

[IMAGE] Our 10 gallon steel fuel tanks can be installed in most brand balloons, and the valving matched to your system. The tanks may be powder coated in any primary color you wish.

Because this installation requires FAA certification, we will need to install the fuel lines as needed, and have the complete basket, fuel system, and burner in our shop.

The price of these tanks is $400.00,
plus the cost of installation, components, and valving.

Note: Fuel tanks purchased without installation will not be FAA certified!!!
